Job Overview
Big Box Retailer Inc. (BBR) is seeking a bright, energetic, self-starter for a Sales Admin Assistant position. We are looking for a professional, detail oriented individual who can multi-task and has exceptional organizational and computer skills to support Sales Managers and Sales Staff and act as a liaison between Account Executives and clients when appropriate. Must be capable of multi-tasking for a variety of personalities in a lively fast paced environment.

Position Description:

• Following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and professional associations, attending trade shows and conferences when appropriate.
• Develop sales presentations in a professional and effective method, including maintaining up-to-date awareness of company activities and industry trends for accounts assigned.
• Consult with clients ongoing after sales, in order to resolve issues, provide continuing support and successfully manage customer expectations.
• Take requests for, and follow up on, samples for key accounts. Monitor the production of account samples, implement data entry for PI sheets, implementation of account orders and shipping information.
• Work in partnership with Merchandising Executives and Design to ensure product development incorporates customer needs fulfilling assortment gaps, emerging trends and actual sales performance at retail.
• Participate in the development and implementation of company promotional literature and materials and actively participate in prospect marketing initiatives as a tool to build contacts and develop new business opportunities.
• Compile and update key account profiles for accounts assigned following through on credit approvals for new prospects.
• Work with Accounting and Operations staff on assigned account chargebacks ,credit, collections and customer service issues.
• Attend trade shows and related events
• Other duties as assigned

The Sales Admin Assistant will report to the Sales Director working under his/her direction through a specific training period. A weekly, written update from the Sales Executive recapping the progress, activity and events from the previous week will be required.

• Ability to identify, prioritize and target key customers.
• Ability to professionally and confidently communicate with diverse groups of people
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Physical Requirements:
• Attending trade shows requires continuous walking and standing for extended periods of time

Work Schedule, Compensation
• This is a full-time, exempt position
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 am-5:00 pm, may vary according to needs of sales events
• Some travel is needed
